Hog Island Audubon Camp
Considered the birthplace of the environmental education movement in the United States, the Audubon Camp in Maine has been offering programs for adults, teens, families and conservation leaders on Hog Island in Muscongus Bay, Maine for over 75 years.
Follow in the footsteps of the camp's first birding instructor, Roger Tory Peterson, and immerse yourself in the beauty of the Maine coast and enjoy intimate instruction by some of America's leading ornithologists and birding authors. Experts Scott Weidensaul, Kenn & Kim Kaufman, John Kricher, Bill Thompson III, and Clay & Pat Sutton will be in residence during the 2013 sessions. >> full instructor list
Hog Island Audubon Camp is managed by Audubon's Seabird Restoration Program (Project Puffin), and all summer programs include a trip to Eastern Egg Rock, the site of the first restored puffin colony. The puffin tour will be led by Steve Kress, founder of Project Puffin and VP for Bird Conservation for National Audubon.
